I feel like I’m writing a graduation speech or something. Taylor booked with me before Burke had officially put a ring on her finger—- so after some serious shinanigans, a surprise proposal was planned with the help of her parents and I got to be there for all the excitement! I really got to know {and totally love} these guys throughout this whole thing and I’m gonna miss getting to hang out with them!
There is one thing that we couldn’t seem to get away from. BAD WEATHER. Burke’s surprise proposal was almost ruined by rainy and freezing March weather, Taylor’s first bridal session was cancelled due to a torrential downpour, and spending most of the night in a storm shelter the night before their wedding while under a tornado watch is not exactly my usual prep! Even with tornado warnings on their big day, the show still went on and their day couldn’t have gone any better!
This gorgeous Mexican inspired wedding was perfectly sprinkled with personal touches throughout— cholula hot sauce on every table, star shaped pb&j sandwiches at the reception and burke & taylor replica pinatas that were AWESOME.
There were so many perfect moments. When her grandmother surprised her with ‘something old’ and placed the same pearl necklace around her neck that Taylor’s mother wore on her wedding day. When Burke’s eyes filled with tears as he anxiously awaited the first glimpse of his beautiful bride. When little Carter’s eyes filled with tears as she was about to walk down the aisle as the flower girl and she had to hurry back and give her big sis a giant hug. I loved every single one of them.
